holiday update

It’s been an exciting year for Cleveland flag designs. With the holiday and new year ahead, we thought we’d take some time to slow down and reflect on the year gone by. Technically, the Cleveland Flag project started in 2016, like most civic flag redesign projects, in the wake of Roman Mars’ flag design TED Talk. At the time, the project was only on Facebook. Today, the Facebook page is still there, although the conversation has moved to Instagram and Twitter.

Things took off again this year. In the past year we launched a website, yes, this website, the one you are reading right now—how very meta. The site has enabled the project to broaden our scope, share more ideas and organize our diaspora of content like never before. In a few short months we launched a website and proposed eleven new Cleveland flag designs—and there are more to come.

But, for now, we’re going to rest on the laurels of the past year’s accomplishments and get ready for the new year. We’ll be reposting previous flag designs and getting ready to design more. In the meantime, be sure to like and follow Cleveland Flag on social media and visit our support page to learn how you can help. Thank you and happy holidays.
